Campaign: Tales of Meras
||| This is the campaign I've been GMing since 2021. We played it on Dungeons and Dragons 5e for the first 25 sessions and then switched to GURPS (Generic Universal Role-Playing System). At first, it was only a test for some sessions, and we planned to also try Pathfinder 2e as well. Now, almost 150ish sessions later, I think we will stay using GURPS.
This page will serve as some sort of index about the game, that I will slowly update with information about the world, characters, and the story that unfolds within the game.
The World
Meras means "land of magic" in an ancient tongue. This name was coined during the Years of Pain, due to the large amounts of Arcane Crystals on the Upper Lands of the known world.
Meras is, essentially, a very high fantasy setting, inspired by Final Fantasy, NieR: Automata and Monster Hunter. Despite that, most of the big problems the characters face in the campaign are of political origin. Despite the existence of gods and higher forces, most catastrophic events happen because of people (usually, amazingly powerful people) and empires.
Dramatis Personae
Player Characters
The current group is formed by the following characters:
- Zakesh: An aquanti warrior, master of the dual blades.
- Ialind: The half-unharic avatar of the Spirit of Summer, wielder of the Fire Halberd;
- Tod: A once slaved doppelganger that uses his powers to transform in all manner of creatures;
- Formaggio: A talking rat. Literal. He wields Needle, a blade that can pierce almost anything, and knows Kung Fu;
- Ulrich: A professor of General Theory of Magic that somehow got together with the group.
But many others were played, and eventually got separated from the group (or died):
Beiric | Cornelius | Juan Carlos | Julieta | Nemo | Nox | Sarata | Shu Yun | Telkhor | Uridon Werval | Yllafungi
Important NPCs
There are also several important NPCs that taggle along with the group. Some are followers, other as almost (or even more) powerful than the player characters, forming their own parties and going on their own adventures.
The Story
Session 1 to 160 | Nothing here yet... much writing to be done.
